"Once you have TASTED FLIGHT, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, FOR THERE YOU HAVE BEEN, and there you will always LONG TO RETURN" - Anon
The Flight Sounds team is based in the beautiful country of New Zealand and is comprised of pilots and experienced hi-tech electronics design engineers.
For more than 10 years, we have been privileged to supply thousands of our products to customers based all around the world.
The idea for our premium aviation headset USB adapters, was first conceived back in 2008, when Terry (Flight Sounds' Co-Founder) was undertaking his Private Pilot License training. Having forked out a sizeable chunk of money for his own brand new personal Aviation headset, it seemed only natural to want to use it with his computer - especially to enhance the realism of his Flight Sim training.
It soon became apparent, that this was easier said than done, as Aviation Headsets are different beasts to typical computer gaming headsets. Terry purchased and tried an off the shelf product, but was left terribly unimpressed with the cheap plastic quality, need for a 9V battery, and clunky nature of the connections. There just had to be a better solution(!) ... one which communicated quality and elegance - two things that pilots are used to experiencing.
"Most pilots are made of "the right stuff" and expect no less of the equipment they use."
So Terry teamed up with co-founder Matthew (both electronic design engineers) and, several prototypes later, the FSX SOLO was born.
It didn't take long for FSX SOLO to start selling all around the globe, receiving fantastic reviews from our customers in the process. The reviews inspired us to design and produce the FSX DUAL a few years later - now proving to be equally as popular as it's smaller counterpart.
We hope that you enjoy using our products as much as we do! Should you have any feedback on our product, please feel free to contact us - we love hearing from our customers.
